Lee Morris is currently the CEO of Tourism Kamloops – one of British Columbia’s newer DMO organizations. Lee has been in the tourism industry in British Columbia for over 30 years and has held senior DMO positions for most of that time.
Previous to taking on the Tourism Kamloops portfolio, Lee spent seven years as Tourism Victoria’s Director of Sales and Marketing leading a team of ten sales and marketing professionals. Prior to Tourism Victoria, Lee was the Executive Director of the High Country Tourism Association, one of the province’s regional tourism organizations at the time. Lee’s industry experience includes a presence in Prince Rupert, the Prince George Visitor and Convention Bureau and a four year role as Assistant Manager at Ski Smithers.
Lee currently sits on a number of relevant Boards including: the BC Destination Marketing Organization (BCDMOA); Canadian Inbound Tourism Association (CITAP); Tourism BC’s Research Advisory Committee; BC Golf Marketing Alliance Board and is a past director of the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association Board of Directors. In addition, Lee is an active member of the Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC), the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), and the Destination Marketing Association of Canada.

Monica joined the Tourism Kamloops team in August 2007 in the capacity of Executive Assistant. Working along side the CEO and with the Tourism Kamloops Board of Directors, Monica's role spans administrative duties as well as assisting with research and web development for the organization. No stranger to the tourism industry, Monica’s previous work has involved membership services, tour and travel coordination and sales, marketing and community marketing planning and development for Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association. Monica holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management from the School of Tourism at Thompson Rivers University and her continued passion for Kamloops and the tourism industry lead her to Tourism Kamloops. Monica is excited to be a part of tourism growth in Kamloops and looks forward to working with all of the industry partners to realize this goal. |

Before joining the Tourism Kamloops team in the summer of 2008 as the Manager for Sports, Meetings, and Events, Kris spent nearly 20 years in the sales and hospitality management industry. Kris’ responsibilities at Tourism Kamloops include working closely with the City of Kamloops as a link to the hospitality industry for organizers of Sporting Events and Tournaments, providing materials which will assist in the promotion of and build registration for sport events, as well as assisting organizers in their planning requirements when hosting such events in Kamloops which brings visitors to Kamloops. Kris also promotes the city of Kamloops to Government Agencies, Associations, and the Corporate Market as a destination for board retreats, conferences, meetings, and golf tournaments. Kris began his career with the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in 1988 while he attended Capilano College in North Vancouver after graduating from Kitsilano High School in 1990. Born and raised in Kamloops , he was thrilled to return to his hometown 5 years ago with his wife Sandra and two daughters. Kris is excited with the opportunity to showcase all of the great recreation activities, venues, and facilities that Kamloops has to offer to everyone he meets and he himself enjoys golfing, travel, photography, spending time with his family, exploring the sites and multitude of things to do in the Kamloops area. Plus, like any true Kamloops boy, is an avid hockey fan. |

Lisa has returned to the Tourism Kamloops team as the Sport, Meeting and Trade Market Developer. Working alongside the CEO and the Manager of Sports, Meetings & Events, Lisa’s role includes tour and travel, research and web development as well as working with sports and events. Lisa is originally from Kamloops and is a graduate from Thompson Rivers University where she studied tourism . Lisa played for the Varsity volleyball team and still keeps very active in the community by both coaching and playing. Lisa loves to travel and has spent 11 months in South America with hopes to return as well as travel to other parts of the world. Lisa is excited to be back at Tourism Kamloops and is looking forward to the many opportunities to promote Kamloops as a great tourist destination. |

Prior to joining the Tourism Kamloops team in 2010, Kendel worked in various sectors of the tourism industry in Kamloops, Osoyoos and in Taupo, New Zealand. After officially declaring tourism her chosen career path, she completed her Bachelor of Tourism Management degree from Thompson Rivers University in 2008 majoring in bothEntrepreneurship and Management. Following graduation she took a brief 3-month journey abroad and returned to Kamloops refreshed and excited for her new position with Tourism Kamloops. Kendel's role includes managing print collateral, social media strategies, visual identity, consumer shows, web development and working in collaboration with the Destination Marketing Team to deliver an effective marketing strategy. In her spare time, she can be found hiking or mountain biking with her husband and two dogs (Kona & Bailey), playing volleyball and soccer or checking out the local live music scene. Her love of Kamloops and all it has to offer makes her job of promoting it easy! Kendel is excited to be a part of the Tourism Kamloops team and is looking forward to helping expand the tourism industry in Kamloops. |

Keslyn joined the Tourism Kamloops team in March 2011 in the new role of Digital Marketing Coordinator. Working alongside both the Coordinator and Manager of Marketing and Communications, Keslyn's role includes web development and working with the mobile app, as well as offering administrative support. Keslyn has moved around a lot, mostly in the Lower Mainland, but did spend some of her childhood living in various places around the UK. She moved to Kamloops after highschool to pursue her Bachelor of Tourism Management at Thomspon Rivers University and has come to love Kamloops and all there is to do. When she is not working or studying, Keslyn enjoys being outside in any capacity - she's always looking for something new to experience! True to that, she is excited about working with the Tourism Kamloops team, and helping to promote the great tourist destination she knows Kamloops to be. |
